At Christmas we give gifts. The roots of this tradition are debated but one explanation that resonates with believers is that it is our attempt to honor and emulate God’s giving of the greatest gift, His Son Jesus and the spiritual blessings that flow out of Him. There’s really no way for us to fully appreciate the significance of that gift. Today we’ll see an illustration of it in hopes that we might better realize just how blessed we are.
